ARE WE SUSTAINABLE?

As an independent brand with artisanal practices, we do not belong to the world of fast fashion. To us, sustainability means responsibility and making conscious choices. We only use existing materials, pay fair wages, and keep production small-scale with limited designs that we intend to sell every piece of.

Our garments are designed with longevity in mind and to be integrated seamlessly into any existing wardrobe. We choose weighty fabrics that hold up with every wear, and sturdy hardware that serves both function and fashion.

Each piece was developed from scratch by our founder in her home studio and worked on with the family-owned factory that we have a longstanding personal relationship with. This allows us to be fully involved in every step of the process, so be assured that you’ll be supporting many livelihoods with your purchase.

INITIATIVES

10% of profit from each piece sold is funnelled to support education for children in India and Bangladesh through donations to the photojournalist GMB Akash. With each purchase from ALTC, you’ll be ensuring that tuition fees, schooling materials, and other needs that may affect their chance of going to school are covered and a child gets to continue their education even when times are tough.

When a person is educated, humanity benefits as a whole. Economy, society, and environment are linked intrinsically with the people in it, and we believe that everyone has the right to a brighter future for themselves, and for us as a civilization. No matter how small the contribution is, it’ll give someone a chance that they may not have had before.
